As we approach the end of the year, I want to take a moment to thank you for your patronage, reflect on 2018, and look ahead to 2019.
Whether you are a new customer of ours or one that has been with us since the beginning, I would like to personally thank you for your business. From our prices, the quality and safety of our products, to the commitment of our staff to fulfill your requirements – Griplock Systems is working hard to earn your business every day.
This year started out with some challenges. After the fires at the end of 2017, we had to deal with mudslides in January. Evacuations and major road closures for weeks made fulfilling orders difficult to say the least. Just getting people to the facility took hours. But we have a dedicated group of individuals here at Griplock Systems. Each and every day they work hard to fulfill your needs. It’s a feat that they do so well and enthusiastically that once again we have seen an increase in the number of total customers and product being shipped across the country. This continued increase has brought Griplock Systems from its humble beginnings in the garage of its founder to now opening a second facility on the East Coast.
This is the 4th major expansion for the company. The last was in 2013 when we moved to a larger warehouse and headquarters in Carpinteria, CA. Our second facility, located in South Carolina, offers advantages to all of our customers. Orders will be fulfilled at a faster rate and shipping costs for those in the Midwest and East Coast are expected to be lower.
We introduced a new product this year, the Rincon® Plus. Just like the original Rincon® Powered Suspension System, the Rincon® Plus eliminates the need to have the power cord for Class 2 by running the power over the cable. This new system though, is less resistant and reduces voltage drops. Another new product to Griplock Systems is the Portable Fuse Cutter. Yes, we first introduced it at the end of 2017, but it wasn’t until after Lightfair International this year that sales really started to take off. If you haven’t seen it yet, check out our website for a demonstration video. It’s a great product for cutting and fusing cable at the same time.
So, what will 2019 bring? Well, we hope your continued business. With that being said, if there is something you need that we don’t currently offer in the way of cable suspension, just let us know. Our knowledgeable customer service and engineering team are happy to assist you. We will also continue efforts in maximizing efficiency with our expansion in the new South Carolina facility, with more shipments going out from there each week. We expect that at least half of all orders will be run through South Carolina within 6 months time.
Thank you again for a great 2018. Here’s looking forward to an even better 2019!
Regards,
Todd Hemingway
